Ridgeview PTA

The Ridgeview Parent-Teacher-Association (PTA) brings parents, teachers, and outside resources together both socially and philosophically while enhancing the school experience for students, parents, and families through events that serve a significant number of students and to be a conduit for information that affects the school community and its families, driving their decision making process and giving powerful direction.

Volunteering

Volunteers play a valuable role here at Ridgeview. As a volunteer, your involvement, both in and out of the classroom, enhances our program and strengthens the educational experiences of our students. There are many opportunities for involvement at Ridgeview - some long term, others of short duration.

Classroom Helper

There are many, many opportunities for you to help out in your child’s classroom. Please contact your child’s teacher for more information.

Listen to Children Read/Read to Children

Depending on where the need lies, this can be done either in the Media Center or the classroom. It would involve listening to small groups of children read. Please contact your child’s teacher for more information.

Lunch Server/Assistants

Help is needed in the school kitchen to serve lunch to students and help students in the lunchroom as needed in grades K-5 at approximately mid-day. Please contact the Justine Hiben in the Ridgeview kitchen at 952-806-7104 or jhiben@isd271.org.

Media Center Help

Help with book check out, assisting students with materials, carding or shelving books and other related library duties. Please contact Melissa Maloney at 952-806-7109 or mmaloney@isd271.org.

Playground/Recess Helper

Assist recess paraprofessional in the Fall, Winter, and Spring on the playground. Please fill out this form and send it back to your child's teacher.

Room Parent

Assist homeroom teacher with field trips, periodic classroom projects, and plan room parties with the approval of the teacher and principal. Please contact your child’s teacher for more information.
